about me

Hi, I’m Phuc Nguyen, an IT Associate Lecturer at RMIT Vietnam and a PhD candidate in Computer Science. I have taught there since 2021, moving into the lecturer role in August 2026, and my research looks at improving safety for blind and visually impaired users in indoor navigation.

Before teaching I spent nine years building web apps across logistics, blockchain, and construction, most recently as a Senior Software Engineer at Whammy Tech and before that at Fastercom and Bouygues Construction IT. I still write code most days, mostly with Svelte, Rust, and Node.js, and I care about open-source.

When I’m not teaching and coding, you can find me playing music, video games, or reading some tech articles. I’m also a big fan of coffee.
